Broadcast Quality MPX Encoder – Low Bandwidth Edition
The Escape MPX STL Radio Link Encoder (LBC) is a professional solution for transporting the full MPX signal over IP. It sends the FM-ready signal—including pilot tone and RDS directly from the studio processor to the transmitter site using a low-bandwidth codec optimized for broadcast-grade low latency.

Applications
This encoder is ideal for FM broadcasters who need to transport the complete MPX composite signal over wireless LAN or microwave point-to-point links with limited available bandwidth. When the processor remains at the studio and the transmitter is at a remote site, it provides a direct composite feed to the exciter with rock-solid stability and ultra-low latency.
Key Features
- Transports the MPX composite over IP using a Low Bandwidth Codec (800Kbps-2.0 Mbps adjustable).
- Deviation meter for real-time monitoring (0–120%).
- Selectable audio input device, destination IP, and network port.
- Adjustable Buffer (ms) , Packet Block Size and Compression level with quality profiles (Low/Medium/High) prioritizing low latency.
- FEC/Interleaving, automatic reconnection, and continuous 24/7 streaming.
- Supports auto-start and system tray operation.
- End-to-end broadcast quality with very low latency.
Challenge & Solution
Transmitting a full MPX signal over IP in low-bandwidth environments has traditionally required expensive dedicated STL systems or uncompressed PCM with very high bitrates. The Escape MPX Encoder LBC offers a cost-effective IP solution using MPX-optimized compression and real-time deviation monitoring—ensuring uninterrupted performance and broadcast-quality ultra-low latency even under challenging network conditions.
License
The software license is valid for a single activation on one computer. If the encoder is moved to new hardware, a new license is required.
